Where Does God Really Live?

G'day mate!

I had tons of fun in Melbourne, exploring the city and the suburbs. I have been walking a lot these days and I can be sure that I am healthier than before. From what I heard, 10.000 steps a day would be enough to fight osteoporosis.

Flash forward to the time I found myself standing at Bells Beach, seeing nothing but water a click away from me. I was enjoying a quiet moment by myself by walking on the cliff side and enjoying the view.Suddenly, a question popped up: Where is God? Where does God live?

As the creator of Heaven and Earth, He owns the privilege to pick his home. If I was God, my home would probably be Maldives. I would sit all day, enjoying my creations and have relaxing afternoons at the beach while waiting for the sunset with a glass of orange juice in my hand. Think about it. Where would you live, if you were God?

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
1 Corinthians 3:16

Interestingly, He picks each one of us as his home. I can definitely tell you that my heart is not as pretty as the Bells Beach or even Maldives. Truth be told, it is totally messy and unorganized. Most of the time, I would be too scared to let anybody peek inside my heart because it will definitely push people away. In short, it is still an unfinished product.

Why would God picked my heart and yours as His home? Moreover, as His very own temple? He could actually built His home in the best spot on Earth and live happily ever after.

Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Collosians 1:27

Apparently, He is not a selfish God who takes His residence in Hollywood Boulevard. He chose to stay with us because He loves us too much to let us stay the same. Out of love, He resides in us, giving us the power to change our smallest bad habits to even addictions. The hope of glory is restored because He is in us.

What is it that holds you back? What is it that you struggle with in life? Tonight, know that nothing, NOTHING, is ever going to take you down when God is in you. He loves you so much, He gave up the world, even the universe, to be with you.
